Steven M. Tilton

Education and Childhood: Steven was born in Topeka, Kansas on January 2,1960. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1978. He attended Washburn University and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in May 1982. He received a Master of Business Administration in December of 1984. He subsequently attended Washburn University School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in May 1988

Employment: Since his graduation from law school and passage of the Kansas Bar Examination, Steve has devoted full-time effort to the practice of law for over 20 years.

Professional Associations: Steve is a member of the Topeka Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association and sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR). Steve is admitted and licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Since October 2003, Steven Tilton has continued his father's work in helping people. Tilton and Tilton, CHTD has one associate attorney, Scott L. Johnson. Steve Tilton has practiced Social Security Disability law since 1989 and devotes nearly 100 percent of his practice to Social Security issues. Steve possesses two decades of dedicated service to individuals wrongly denied social security disability benefits. Both attorneys have had measured success in handling difficult claims and issues at each level of appeal.
