Education: Scott was born in Cherokee, Iowa on March 11,1977. He graduated with honors from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science in May of 1999. He went on to attend Washburn University School of Law and he received his Juris Doctor in May of 2002. He graduated from law school with Dean's Honors.
Employment: Scott was initially hired at Tilton and Tilton, CHTD in 1997 to serve as a clerk while in college. He continued to work for the firm throughout college, as well as law school. Following graduation and passage of the Kansas Bar Examination in 2002, Scott became associate attorney in the firm.
Professional Associations: Scott is a member of the Topeka Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR). Scott is admitted and licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Kansas and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Scott also served as President for the Breakthrough House Inc. Board of Directors.
Personal: Scott is married to Julie Johnson and has one child, Kyleigh Jolene. Scott is a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
